Walnut Live Edge "Cookie" Tables (Pair)
These two live edge walnut tables were made from slices of the large trunk commonly referred to as “cookies.” Both tables have a nice edge of sapwood. The walnut is very dark and may be black walnut. A matte black epoxy resin is used to fill in any openings are voids in the wood.
The pieces were sized and then sanded to a smooth finish. The tables are finished with a product called Rubio Monocoat. This is an oil which bonds with the fibers of the wood. It forms a hard and durable coating which doesn’t mask the natural beauty of the wood.
Each table has 16” black iron pin legs.
The tables average 22” round and 1 1/2” thick.
