Walnut Burl Plate

Beautiful walnut burl plate. The burl part of the tree grows on the outside of the trunk. The grain of the wood twists as it grows. This creates interesting patterns in the grain. This plate is also infused with a small amount of epoxy resin to fill the gaps that are produced by the unusual grain common to burls. The bowl is finished with four coats of wax and then buffed to compliment its natural color and grain.
