Walnut and Epoxy Resin Bowl

In this bowl, 68 pieces of 1/4” walnut were glued to a board. Afterwards, the assembly was fitted to a container of the same size. Blue epoxy resin was then poured on top to fill in all the open gaps. It was placed in a pressure pot and allowed to cure for two days.
Afterwards, the bowl was turned on the lathe, sanded and polished to a high luster.
The bowl is 9” across and 3” tall.
