Pine Cone and Epoxy Bowl

This bowl was constructed using dried pine cones placed into a mold. Epoxy was then poured to fill the mold. Three different colors of iridescent epoxy were used. As you place the bowl in different lights, the colors shift, making a very interesting and beautiful effect. The bottom is walnut. The bowl has been finished with multiple coats of lacquer and then a finial polishing.
The bowl is 10” round and 3.5” deep.
