Live Edge Walnut Coffee Table

This beautiful table is a live edge slab of walnut. The lighter color around the edges is the sap wood which is just the right width to hilight the darker heart wood. There are interesting grain patterns in the larger edge which bring out the beauty of the different shades of wood grain throughout the piece. The table is finished with a product called Rubio Monocoat. This is an oil which, once applied, forms a molecular bond with the wood fibers. It creates a durable finish while not masking the look and feel of the wood. 
It contains no solvents, only natural ingredients so it is a very safe and environmentally friendly product.
 
The legs are a matte black finish steel with adjustable feet. Threaded inserts are used to attach the legs which allow the legs to be easily removed for transport.
