Walnut and Epoxy Striped Bowl

This bowl started as a number of 1/4” pieces of walnut glued to a board in the pattern that you see in the bowl. Then the walnut pieces are placed in a mold. Epoxy resin is added to the mold to fill all the empty spaces between the walnut. Two days later, it is ready turn and shape on the lathe.
The bowl is sanded and waxed with four coats of increasingly finer waxes.
